The Best ZAGG Screen Protector? Sapphire Defense vs. Glass+360 vs. VisionGuard – iPhone XR/XS

What’s the best Zagg InvisibleShield screen protector? Between the InvisibleShield Sapphire Defense, Glass+, Glass+ Visionguard and Glass+360, we’d go with the Sapphire Defense. Why? Because it’s REALLY tough. Expensive, but tough.

The one product we’d stay away from? Probably the Visionguard. According to Zagg it can help you sleep better at night! No kidding! The Zagg Invisible Shield Glass+Visionguard claims that it can protect your eyes from High Energy Visible Blue Light. This blue light causes you to not be able to fall asleep at night.

Do we think this claim is real? Maybe but honestly, how many of us stare at more than one screen on a daily basis?

If you’re looking for Zagg’s only edge-to-edge screen protector, you’ll have to settle for the Glass+360.

Zagg InvisibleShield Glass+ Review – 00:01:30

Glass+ is Zaggʼs base model of glass and an expensive one at that. Thereʼs nothing really special about Glass+.The Glass+ has a standard fit and It covers the viewable area of the iPhone. Thatʼs it for 40 bucks. Youʼre not even getting name-brand recognition since itʼs just a piece of glass.

Zagg InvisibleShield Sapphire Defense Review – 00:02:35

Sapphire Defense is a screen protector infused with sapphire crystals. The sapphire crystal improves scratch resistance and also makes the screen protector incredibly tough. Sapphire Defense is one the toughest screen protector I have ever used.

How tough is it actually? Check out the Sapphire Defense Impact Test (00:04:31)! We drop a 200g steel ball on it!

When it comes to the fit, Sapphire Defense only covers the viewable area of the iPhone. This means the edges of the device are going to be left quite exposed. Remember to take this into consideration when you pick a case.

The only gripe we have about the Sapphire Defense are the edges. Every other product we’ve reviewed from Zagg has smooth edges except for the Sapphire Defense.

Zagg InvisibleShield VisionGuard Review – 00:11:24

Glass+VisionGuard has a special feature that protects your eyes from High Energy Visible Blue Light which is very bad for sleep and contributes to Digital Eye strain.

Sadly, I cannot test this fluffy claim out. Why? Because the screen on my iPhone isn’t the only screen that I use on a daily basis. In fact, my iPhone is the least used screen between the TV, laptop and tablet. And if you’re wondering if this gimmick will change the way your screen looks, don’t worry. I couldn’t see any remarkable changes.

However aside from this fluffy claim, Glass+VisionGuard is an okay screen protector. Glass+VisionGuard screen protector covers past the touchable area of the iPhone’s screen. This means it will protect your iPhone more.

In fact, Glass+VisionGuard is the most case friendly of the Zagg’s products.

Zagg InvisibleShield Glass+360 Review – 00:13:23

At first, I thought the Glass+360 was the same as the regular Glass+ but with a crappy bumper. I was wrong, itʼs a different product with a crappy bumper. The Glass+360 is actually an edge-to-edge screen protector that seems to play well with cases from my Top 10 cases for the iPhone.

Aside from that, it also has a back protector and a bumper going for it. And I really don’t like any of the two. They feel cheap and honestly not worth your money.

The back protector is extremely slick and doesn’t even have the texture of the glossy glass back it covers. The bumper is thin and cheap and doesn’t feel like a quality product that you’d expect at a $50+ dollar price point.

When the three is combined, it is even worse. The screen protector is nice but nothing special. The back protector doesn’t add anything except for a little protection. And the bumper just makes your iPhone buttons tougher to use.
