Does Tesla Want Right to Repair Or Not?

In the last few years we’ve seen the right-to-repair movement gain some significant traction around the world, with many successful court cases challenging existing legislation and some countries and regions even introducing bills designed to make it easier to repair things you own. 

Last week, Tesla published its parts catalog online for the first time (https://epc.teslamotors.com/#/catalogs), making it easier than ever before for Tesla enthusiasts to figure out part numbers and (in some cases) order replacements. 

But is Tesla really supportive of Right to Repair — or is it just following what the rest of the industry is doing? And is this new parts catalog useful or not?
