If you’re in the market for a new electric car, there’s a lot of choices out there available at a wide range of different prices. If you’re in the market for a plug-in hybrid, there are a similarly large number of choices.
But unless you can afford a Tesla Model X, there’s really not been an option for anyone wanting an affordable plug-in car with more than five seats…apart from the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Minivan, that is.
We’ve heard lots of people criticize this plug-in minivan for its limited all-electric range and its low fuel economy when compared to other plug-in models. But compare it to conventional minivans, and the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid seems rather an interesting proposition indeed.
The question is this: is it a vehicle you should consider if you’re in the market for a minivan that doesn’t get terrible gas mileage and can (when charged appropriately) offer almost zero emission motoring?
