Last week at CES 2019, Nissan unveiled its longer-range Nissan LEAF e-Plus (known in some markets as the LEAF 3.Zero). Fitted with a 62 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack, this longer-range LEAF model has been the subject of a lot of speculation — including the expectation that it would be fitted with an LG-Chem lithium-ion battery pack.
But as Nissan has now detailed, the new LEAF’s battery pack not only has no active thermal management, but is built in-house.
